    Happy Monday Everyone!

    Since October is National Bullying Prevention Month, I wanted to share this naeyc article with you, To Prevent Bullying, Focus on Early Childhood. I especially loved the fourth point they made, "Building young children's social and emotional skills and promoting welcoming classrooms can significantly reduce aggression." It's an important reminder that everything that is happening in your early childhood classrooms each day will shape the future interactions each child has with others. Do you have any tips about preventing bullying in early childhood education classrooms?

    Bullying is not allowed in our school. But if it do occurs we are on it immediately.

    I respectfully disagree.  You may be proactive/responsive when you are aware BUT

    So much bullying is subtle, secret, when teacher is not present.​

    Here are a few of my favorite Bullying Prevention sources.

    There are a variety of Sesame Street videos available on youtube.

    Also, PACER.org has the National Bullying Prevention Center with a host of resources. 


    Also through PACER is the book
    The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin
    Read     The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. The book is available for 
    purchase at Spookley.com and a video reading by the author is available for 
    free on the official     Spookley YouTube channel.     The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin - Autumn Read Aloud Books for Halloween - Bedtime Stories


    WATCH THE MOVIE

    We need to promote awareness and prevention of bullying. I agree that addressing bullying should start at a young age.
