    Hi all
We use Class and Teaching strategies and I am teaching virtually. I wanted to share this with others teaching virtually- today I read the book Perfect Square and then our whole virtual class made collages using glue sticks and paper that I had delivered previously. We had great interaction, lots of involvement and the book was perfect for this medium in may ways

Thanks for sharing @Renee Beisswanger! That sounds wonderful and I'm so glad it worked in a virtual setting. That's a great book for math, art, and encouraging creative thinking, so I'm sure you were able to have lots of good conversations too.

Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility is one of the sites that I keep up with.  Attached is the PDF that was a part of the newsletter that went out today.  The focus on a strength base with social emotional support and the activity ideas are from my perspective connected with CLASS and Conscious Discipline strategies.  The activity focused on pretending to be an animal and the reasoning behind that focus stood out to me.  What are your thoughts?  Do you find this helpful?  What strategies do you connect this material with?  Looking forward to all perspectives and have an engaging day.

I loved the animal activity and all of the peer interactions. I love the open ended questions and the way they connected to the uniqueness of each student.

    Hello Fellow Educator,
It is great to see that even though you are teaching virtually, you are still reading the stories to the students! I really think it continues to provide opportunities for students and teachers to build connections with teachers as they read to  the students and give the students the opportunity to interact and react during storytime.
