It's awesome for the teachers to have special greetings for every child, however, some of our teachers are embracing a different way and it's exciting!  They are posting simple signs, such as a handshake, a hug, fist bump, hi-five, and they select a Greeter each day who  allows each child entering to choose one, then that student greetst them as such.  It is really showing these 3-5's how to be social, kind, and start their day in a happy way with their peers. (There are a lot of cute ideas on Pinterest).

    Hi,
This is similar to what our coach @Ericka McAdams shared at one of her trainings recently. We were able to see examples of this via Youtube Kids Choose Own Greeting To Start School Day
    YouTube remove preview
Kids Choose Own Greeting To Start School Day
SUBSCRIBE NOW: http://bit.ly/2uwI2ZJ These preschoolers start their day by choosing between a variety of fun greetings for each other after their teacher wanted to encourage positive interactions. Every morning, teacher Kali Lovgren has her class begin by lining up by the 'greeter of the week' and choosing how they would like to be greeted that particular morning.

It's really important  to start your day with smile greeting Morning. Remind me to one of my kids every day  when she came to the Glass with big smile and says Happy Monday or Tuesday every day . Make my day.😃

A very interesting idea ! I love it and I will implement. It gives children a choice, a moment to look forward and a fun transition.

I agree, this is a great idea.  I plan to implement this in my classroom soon.  I'll post how it goes, I can see the students having fun and being excited to get a turn.
