Hi
@Susan Gill,
The
myTeachstone CLASS Observation app streamlines the capture of observation data to the myTeachstone platform for individual and aggregate analysis; sharing the observation data with coaches, teachers, and admins. The data is also preserved in the myTeachstone platform for easy, long-term reference as well. When you download the app, you will be able to log in with your myTeachstone email and password. It will then walk you thought a little tutorial on how to use some of the features, such as toggling between active observations and completed observations, or starting a new observation in the upper right corner of the screen. The app is really nice because you can type on the tablet you are using with an external keyboard or on the screen, or you can write in the boxes with an apple pencil. You can then tap score, and the domain and dimension averages will be automatically calculated for you. I have attached a little photo from the app that may help as well. Please let me know if you have any other questions, thank you so much!
Best,
Allison

Thank you for the information. I have the app but I don't see the score sheets in it. How does it work when observing?

Hi @Susan Gill and @Sandy Johnson,
Thank you so much for reaching out! I am a Teachstone employee and have used both score sheets and the app and I do find that I can be just as efficient with the score sheet and the app. We did just update the app quite a lot, so if you haven't looked at it in a little while, I would encourage you to update your application via the app store and check out the new features! I think that using the app has a lot of nice perks, such as being able to share observation data easily and being able to store observations digitally. I think it is also a little easier to print than scanning score sheets. I hope this helps!
Best,
Allison
