Example one: Two children are playing and teacher takes each by the hand and leads them to tables and chairs at the opposite side of the room. Teacher explains they were doing something wrong and need to sit for a bit. One child isn't willing to sit in chair and is told you can either do it now or later but it's going to happen. The choice is up to you. Teacher has the child by the hand and they are resisting. Teacher keeps pulling them along.
Example two: All children are required to sit at tables with their heads down because the teacher is keeping them from doing something wrong. Teacher tells children they need to do better doing choice activities then does a whisper 60 count before letting children lift their heads. Would this example fall under punitive control because the teacher is physically controlling the movements of the class?
If each of these were 1 time incidents would they be classified as low, middle or high negativity?
Thank you.
