Hello everyone. I am an Infant teacher with four stages of growth in my class. 2 walkers, 2 crawlers, 1 pulling up and into everything😊, and 1 that has to be hovered over to keep the poor child from getting bowled over. The older ones takes everything from the younger ones. The crawlers would be under all the furniture if they weren't monitored all the time and everybody puts everything in their mouths except for the youngest. All this takes away from our daily routine and activities. HELP!!

Hi Sandra, That sounds tricky! Those ages will certainly keep you busy. Are there activities that the walkers are most interested in that will keep them engaged for longer periods of time? Like a sensory bin? Or playdoh that's safe for them to put in their mouths? Or storytime with songs, hand gestures, or puppets? Perhaps as the weather improves, letting them explore outside more when the crawlers and youngest one are on a blanket? Sometimes just sitting on the floor and engaging in conversation as they explore can help, like you see in this video.

These resources and blogs were designed specifically to address challenges during COVID, but I think offer some good ideas for any time as well.
I'm curious what others have found most effective!

A suggestion...separate their naps into two groups.  I know it may take some time to get their schedules aligned.  Maybe the walkers and one pulling up nap at the same time and the other three at the same time. I know they won't be exact but if you can get them down together it gives you some time to work with each group alone.  You can tailor this alone time to their development and have more of a routine.
