Hello Miriam,
Thank you, this is a great question! It typically depends on the state. However, I see you are in Miami, Florida, so I found this online: "The Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) is a state-recognized credential that is equivalent to the national Child Development Associate certification (CDA). It is required for all childcare providers who care for more than four children in Florida". So, it looks like the National CDA is required in Florida for providers opening a center. You can view our CDA courses HERE.

Subject: Preschool Certificate vs. CDA credentials
I received my preschool certificate. I am getting ready to open up a preschool and therapeutic center exclusively for children with special needs. My question, do I need to work on my CDA credentials? Are these classes only for the educators?
Thanks for the response!
