Hello everyone! I wanted to gather some ideas on how to introduce CLASS to new teaching staff. How do y'all explain CLASS and what you are looking for? Do you go over all domains and dimensions? I am going to train new teachers on what CLASS is in an infant and toddler classroom and I want to make sure I am giving enough but not too much information. All tips are welcome. Thank you!

Hi! I have been working hard on doing the same thing for the new staff in our program. I've created some "All about class" presentations using the manual and some resources found on this site. Feel free to use/share!

Sidenote: I'm no professional "speaker" so please don't judge my lack of presentation abilities :'D

    Greetings.

Is there a way that I can share this video with my teachers?

Feel free! Be sure you pre-watch, there are some parts that will be specific to my observation for our program.

    Hello,

I created these "cheat sheets" for each domain with examples of what would score moderate to high during a class observation!

    Thanks,

    Hi Shelby!

Thank you so much for reaching out. One resource I highly recommend is the podcast episode "What to Expect When You're About to Be Observed?" that we shared on July 14th of last year. It's a great thing to share with educators in the weeks before your observation, so they know what you will be looking for. You can also share this CLASS info sheet or this one that shows the age levels when discussing CLASS. We are also hosting a webinar this week containing helpful information about CLASS from our CEO, Bridget Hamre. I will be sure to share clips here that will be helpful for the educators you're working with. Thank you so much again for this post!

    Best,

    Allison
