Hi @Carla Dean, M.Ed., @Nellie Rosado, @Yvonne Finnerty, @Christine King, @Asia Blaney, and @Sherry Cowens
Thank you so much for reaching out about this! This is something that comes up from time to time, and we understand how this would be helpful. We are so grateful for the educators who welcome us into their classrooms to film, and out of respect, we don't like to highlight these low-scoring moments. We want to show actual classroom footage, but it is very vulnerable for these educators to allow us into their lives to film and share their interactions widely. Even for training, when we share videos that may show less effective interactions, we also show the same classroom setting with more effective interactions during a different part of the training. Additionally, any classroom has moments where interactions may be less effective, but in observing, you're looking at the average across that cycle. Of course, really negative moments absolutely can affect overall scores, and making notes of times you notice an educator can grow is always helpful for them. When scoring at the end of an observation, the best way to assess where the score falls is to read the descriptions in the manual that describe interactions with a frequency, depth, and duration you might not often see in videos. I really hope this helps!
Best,
Allison

Subject: Videos of low scoring classrooms
It would be helpful to view videos of classrooms that receive low scores, so we can compare to higher scoring classrooms and interactions. I know we viewed them during training, but are they still available to see with explanations why they scored low, as some interactions are tricky. Thanks.
