Hi! I’m Sarah Hadden, Senior Advisor for Research and Professional Services at Teachstone. I’ve been here since we opened our doors in 2009. Prior to that, I worked at the University of Virginia on the development and implementation of the first CLASS-based PD programs (MyTeachingPartner and the National Center for Research on Early Childhood Education – NCRECE – the study where MMCI was developed and tested). As a former early childhood special education teacher, I know that many kids who end up in the special education system are there due to adverse life experiences that interfere with development and learning. I was drawn to the CLASS because of its promise of improving teaching for all children.
I love to travel and my work with CLASS has taken me all across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and to four different continents! My favorite dimension is Language Modeling because language is at the heart of so many of our interactions with children.
