The reminder would have to be something meaningful to you. If wearing a bracelet with a particular ribbon or color would help you to focus then use that. When I want to be mindful of something it helps me to have accountability partners, but if you decide to do this you then can't get mad when they remind you of whatever you focus on. The fact that you are searching for something to help you with keeping your tone in check is a key start point. Thank you for your mindfulness and focus. I have also seen some use a jar. For this you have to have it prepared ahead of time with positive affirmations for remembering the tone you want to use. When you have having a moment where your tone has gone up you must stop and pick a comment from your jar to focus on that will keep your goal in mind. An example might be "I am my actions" or "I must breathe and talk the way I want to be talked to." I hope this has helped, but if not let me know and I will think and reflect on different methods.

Subject: Using a soft teaching voice for redirection
I feel that my voice gets louder with the noise in the classroom. Especially during worktime, redirecting or playing with students. Any suggestions of being aware of voice level/tone and a quick reminder to self to use soft voice?
