I am looking for ideas to give our teachers ways of entering back into their classroom , after being out for breaks .
    Thanks you .

Interesting question! Transitions are so hard and I always noticed even short breaks could complicate things.

Can you tell me more about your question though- Do you mean if a teacher is gone for a while (for an illness or something) and then returns? Or after the students and teachers are gone for a break, for something like Spring or Christmas break?

Ahh interesting, a much shorter break than I was picturing. I'd love to hear what other teachers or coaches have found work well for them. When I worked in a preschool, I never really left other than while the children were napping, so there was no coming and returning to plan for, but any transition time like that would be good to plan for.
Some of Kate's tips in this blog may be helpful (https://info.teachstone.com/blog/5-easy-ways-to-greet-students), but I'm sure others have ideas too!

This was very helpful.  My day always runs much smoother when I am prepared for my students.  I teach 7th grade, and I notice that the students are calmer when I great them at the door, instead of them coming into the classroom and I am sitting at my desk.

We have a regular floaters who give  bathroom breaks so the children are seeing a familiar face, and that helps.
Consistency is key; It's important they do what you would do, If you're in the middle of singing a song they need to jump in there and sing to the kids,  if you're in the middle of storytime, they continue reading, ect.
When I take time off I always leave a lesson plan for the teachers to follow and some helpful tips about each child. Make sure you're prepared before you leave so they can be prepared managing the classroom.
