    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has a good walk through form, or some type of observation document administrators use as they are visiting classrooms for short periods of time. I'm working with a school district that is starting to implement administrator walkthroughs, and we want to find something that links to the Pre-K CLASS though these observations. If you have any good observation tools please share.

Hi Donna, this informal observation form may be helpful to you!

You can check out the form here:

There's also a short video and blog on using the informal observation form available here.

HI i did just get observed. they are looking for conversations between the child and teacher. ask a lot of questions Open ended questions. such as.. if u a give them play dough as what are u making? if they say a cake u comment  but then ask another question. what kind of cake is it? then can ask are u going to put any decorations on it. or frost it. what kind of frosting?  if they make a snake? u can ask what kind of snake? etc.. but a back and forth conversation. and make sure u talk to each child. also going form circle time to center time make that transition a flow. not let them just RUN to a center.  comfort a crying child, find out whats wrong, and make that child happy!!  or one who is sitting pouting. etc. Hope this helps you. and Good luck!    Sharon
