If we find only one challenging behavior child in a pre k classroom during the observation cycle but his behavior is a bit aggressive level  such as kicking other child and throwing food. In that case… how does it impact on scoring under Behavior Management?

    Hi @Shamima Tasmin,

I would consider these instances evidence of peer aggression, which would fall under the Negative Affect indicator for Negative Climate. In terms of Behavior Management, if the incidents described were the only examples of challenging behavior, I would characterize it as periodic episodes of misbehavior, which is consistent with the mid-range for the Student Behavior indicator for Behavior Management. I think the aggression falls under Negative Climate, whereas the frequency of the misbehavior is captured in Behavior Management.

I hope that makes sense and feel free to ask questions if you need more assistance!

    Best,
    Rachel
