I am currently working as a site coordinator at an early learning center, and I am reaching out to see if you have any suggestions or resources regarding several behavioral challenges we are facing.
We are seeing a high frequency of children running away from teachers, climbing on tables, and biting. A significant issue we are encountering is that the teachers frequently want to bring the children to the office. Despite my efforts to explain to the students that the office is not a reward, many continue these behaviors-sometimes specifically to be sent there.
Do you have any strategies or specific resources I could provide to my teachers to help them manage these behaviors within the classroom? I am looking for ways to support them in reducing these incidents and minimizing the reliance on office referrals.
Any guidance or materials you could share would be greatly appreciated.
