Hi @Katrina Morris,
This is a great question! So if your credential has expired they do not have to take the course over. Since your credential is expired, we recommend that you not participate in CDA with CLASS. You should be able to use your original 120 clock hours from your first credential and apply as a new candidate. We recommend you brush up your portfolio and complete the credentialing process, including the verification visit and taking the exam again. If you are with KLC, you may need to pay the $425.00 credentialing fee; so you should talk to your Center Director and the KCE benefits team.
I hope that helps and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions!
Best,
Rachel

Subject: CDA Renewal
My CDA expired in 2022. I checked the website and found out I need to take the class over. I was wondering why I could just do the renewal process.instead.
