    We just finished using CLASS with our classrooms, and we have the scores and data. We are starting our coaching cycle utilizing those scores to help enhance the interactions between the teachers and children. And although I have the scores for my teachers, I would like to find the National Average scores. Does anyone have that available or can you tell me where I can locate that information. Thank you

    This is scores for only Head Start programs, but might give you a good starting point:

    The Office of Head Start (OHS) uses the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS ®) Pre-K Teacher-Child Observation Instrument during its on-site reviews of grant recipients. CLASS-reliable reviewers visit a random sample of preschool classrooms to obtain scores of individual grant recipients.Find aggregated descriptive statistics of past and current grant-recipient CLASS data below.

    Hi Katherine,

    While we don't have national CLASS averages, Louisiana publicly shares its CLASS data and includes Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K scores.  The data is available for download as an Excel file here (https://doe.louisiana.gov/data-and-reports). Scroll down the page to Data Library, then select School and Early Learning Center Performance, then School and Performance data.  The latest available data is for the 23-24 school year.

    Hi, Katherine - Virginia posts our state's averages on our Quality Measurement and Improvement system (VQB5) website, and update them annually. The data found in this document is our most recent data from the 2023-2024 program year, but this will be updated in June/July with the 2024-2025 VA State Averages. Hope this helps!
