Hi Stephanie, I actually did a 2-day Toddler CLASS training in person through Teach stone and became certified. I am sure if you can't get it through your job and you are wanting to do this on your own you can go to certifications and get more information on the different ways you can partake in becoming a professional class observation specialist. :)

    Hi Stephanie,

Having engaged in observations for the past 5 years, along with implementing CLASS strategies as a teacher for 3 years, I find that being an Observer provides a wonderful chance to advance one's career and contribute valuable insights to administrators, directors, and fellow teachers for their ongoing professional growth.

Certainly! Becoming a professional CLASS observation specialist involves a combination of training and hands-on experience. There are various routes you can take to achieve this goal. One option is to participate in training programs offered by organizations such as Teachstone. They provide comprehensive courses that cover CLASS observation techniques, scoring methods, and interpretation of results. Attending these programs and successfully completing the associated assessments can lead to certification as a CLASS observer.

Additionally, some educational institutions and professional development organizations offer specialized courses or workshops in CLASS observation. These can provide you with a deeper understanding of the CLASS framework and its applications. Furthermore, gaining practical experience in classroom observations is crucial. Many professionals start by observing classrooms, practicing scoring using the CLASS tool, and gradually refining their skills. This hands-on experience helps you become proficient in accurately assessing interactions between teachers and students.

As you embark on this journey, I recommend researching available training options, considering your career goals, and choosing the path that aligns best with your aspirations. Feel free to reach out to Teachstone if you need more specific guidance or information about potential training programs, I'm sure they will help you.

    Best regards,
