All Things CLASS

I want to be honest about how difficult the yearly CLASS recertification is for me. It feels like an unnecessary yearly hurdle, especially when reliability has already been demonstrated. I understand the importance of CLASS, but the annual test causes a lot of anxiety. I know how to do the work, but the pressure of the exam makes me overthink and doubt myself. It feels like a way to get more money from us each year and seems unnecessary 

When I'm observing with others, I'm consistently reliable. It's the test environment-not the content-that creates stress. I wish there were a way to recertify less frequently, maybe every five years, with simple refreshers in between. I hope the recertification process can be reconsidered in the future.

I strongly agree with you! We should test every 3 years or every 5 years.  This is costly and many educators cannot afford it; not to mention the anxiety we experience.   

I also agree and trying to find time for testing is stressful and often unrealistic, given the many other responsibilities we manage.

I agree. Every year is ridiculous. I think every 3-5 years would be more realistic.

I couldn't agree more. I am going to be re-certifying this summer and I am already dreading it. Also, I will be out of pocket $150.00 dollars. Early educators are already stretched financially. 

I agree with you Rachel. I was wondering the same thing. This year its gone up and the stress of it all. I am thinking of giving it up. This is the first time I have difficulties with the test.

You have a great valid point. I wish this would change to every 3 years. Unless there is some major changes to the process.

Is there any help for CLASS recertification support out here? I have been waiting for some support regarding my recertification. Its almost too late now.
