I love this! How fun to do valentines from all over. I used to do something similar when I taught 2nd grade. I'm excited to see what others do, but here are a few ideas I had:
1) Art Exchange- Have the children create artwork that represents their home or area they live and then either virtually (sending emails of photos and then printing or digitally displaying) or physically exchange their art with children in another state or country.
2) Virtual Field Trips: Take your home-based children on virtual field trips to different parts of the world. This site has lots of good ideas.
3) International Food Day: Pick a specific country each month and dedicate a day to exploring its cuisine. You could even bring in the families and have them share recipes, photos, and stories about the food they make.

Subject: Looking for ideas for Home Base Teaching

I am new to Home Base teaching, I started last year in the middle of the year and I am starting fresh this year, and I need some idea's of some fun activities to do with the children. I also would like to do something with them that I can involve other children in the world. One of my friends did valentines from each state, I would like some ideas of some other things that I could do with Home Base children.
