    Hello everyone,
I hope you all are doing well. I have been working with children for about thirty years. I enjoy working with infants and toddlers, they bring  so much joy into my life. Watching them grow and learn allows me to know that they are growing.  As the Infants and Toddlers grow there has been lots of changes in how they learn.  I would like to know how children process all the different way of learning. I can process all the changes fairly fast but what about our children how do you think they feel with all the changes?

    Hi @Brenda Berger,

Thank you so much for sharing this, and for your continued commitment to working with children! I totally hear you, there is so much changing each and every day in our world, it's got to be hard on our children too! Like you mentioned, so much changes in a child's life as they grow, and in such a fast paced world, they are taking on even more new information each day. It's hard for me to say definitively how they feel as I don't get the chance to interact with many children day to day, but I can only imagine that it's overwhelming.

When things are tough, my biggest tip is to talk to the children about the changes happening in their life. Whenever possible, explain to them some changes that are coming. When things happen that are out of your control, just check in, see how they feel, and talk through it with them. Knowing what is coming, or even just having a conversation with an adult about what happened, can make a huge difference for a child.

I am sure our other community members have advice and input to share as well, I look forward to reading the other responses!

    Best,
    Allison
