The Positive Relationships Matter podcast was very enlightening.  The Emotional Piggybank illustration was very impactful to me and memorable.  The concept of deposits and withdrawals – WAGER – helped me to  better understand how all  my interactions with the children are either a deposit or a withdrawal.  I appreciate Joanna sharing how she used this concept personally with her own daughter making it real and applicable.  Moving forward I will implement the WAGER elements (Warmth, Acceptance, Genuineness, Empathy and Respect).  I appreciate this tool and am grateful for all the ideas.

Agree positive relations matter. Positive interactions and relationships matter because they are the foundation for building healthy, trusting connections with children. They support emotional safety, strengthen communication, and help children feel valued and secure in the learning environment.

I am reading a lot of wonderful comments on this Podcast.  Could someone share where I can listen to this and possibly share with my staff.

    Thank you so much.
