this would only be a negative climate if the teacher was using a punitive tone or using it as a harsh punishment. It could be sorted into behavior management. We need to be careful that our biases don’t enter in here. I would look at the children and see what their reaction was were they able to comply or there’s a lot of redirect that sometimes can lead to negative climate but it doesn’t necessarily make it negative climate.
