Respect for using children's actual names. As a coach I try to site my information when sharing them with the teacher. What information can I say about using names such as buddy, girl, hon, etc.?

Many of the articles I looked at gave the benefits of inclusion, a sense of belonging in the community, and the importance of being specific when addressing someone. In southern towns it seems difficult to completely weed out the use of honey and sugar. Each region may have a particular catchy phrase they use. Many want to know why and how behind any suggestion. More than respect, when a child is young the importance of learning the aspects of their name can be seen of one of the foundations of bridging out with varied social contexts. Feel free to look into what is attached and if that doesn't work for you explore until you find what meets your needs.
