There could be because there are fewer "jobs" in the classroom that the children can do. For example, at lunch we used to eat family style. Have you tried at least to incorporate some sign language in the day. I found that children who had difficulty expressing themselves verbally sometimes would respond well to sign language and could then at least express their needs such as needing to go to the potty or being all done using sign language. ...
