Wow, I can relate. This course can sure knock you off any high horse you might be riding! Talk about a lesson in humility. I have 35 years in this profession. I have taken more educational "journeys" than I can remember; I have always done well, it came easy for me. Recently retired, but my passion for making the future brighter for our young children is in my soul. You can't retire from that! The last few weeks I have sat immobilized, scratching my head, wondering why, WHY am I unable to get this, why can't I grasp the CLASS concept? After 2 failed attempts, 2 extensions, lots of hair pulling, and having to admit I do not know everything (I was actually surprised at that last one) Hallelujah, I passed! All these years, I have complicated the educational process. I have wasted so much money on fancy resources when all we need is to be reprogrammed into a common-sense approach. Our children need us to love them, acknowledge them, respect them. It is so easy, yet it is so hard. What a gift I have been given! I look forward to lots of reviewing and more practice scoring! I am planning to do all I can to fully understand what I need to become an observer that can feel confident in my observations.
