    Hello CDA learners, and welcome to the CLASS Learning Community! 

     

    We are so glad you’re here and would love to learn a bit about you! Please introduce yourselves by replying to this discussion post and tell us a little bit about yourself and your professional goals! Be sure to join the CDA with CLASS Forum, and read below to find out more about the CLC and some FAQs about your course!  

     

    • How do I find my course? You can find your course by logging in at teachstone.com (choose LOGIN at the top right). You will see, at the top of your Dashboard, a box titled “My Professional Development.” Click on “Learning Hub” and there you will see your CDA with CLASS course in our Canvas Learning Management System!

    • What is the CLASS Learning Community (CLC)? This space is completely separate from your CDA course and is a wonderful place to ask questions, share how your course is going, and offer advice to others! The CLC is totally an optional space to participate in and you are not required to respond to discussions in the CLC.
    • Where should I ask questions in the CLC? If you have questions about your course or if you’d like to connect with other CDA learners or your facilitator, a great place to do that is in the CDA with CLASS Forum group right here in the community!
    • Where are the discussions I need to respond to? The discussions that you need to respond to as part of your CDA with CLASS course can be found in each weekly Module of your course.
    • What if I have questions about my course? In your course, be sure to check out all of the great information in the “Home” link! Carefully read your course syllabus, and be sure to check out the Pacing Guide (suggested due dates to follow)!
    • What if I can’t find my CDA with CLASS course? Don’t worry. Just send an email to cdasupport@teachstone.com Our support team will help problem solve your situation, and provide you communication and updates on your enrollment status!

    Hi! My name is Jenni Davidson. I am 25, almost 26 years old. I have been to school three times now. I keep going back because I know I want to help somehow, someway in this world. I started working at Kindercare a couple of months ago. I never realized how some kids rely on their teacher so much. It really intrigued me and that is why I'm here. Nice to meet everyone!

    That's amazing although I am assuming its morning and after care. Children seek for our advice and look to us as positve rolemodels. 
    I always take the time to listen to them no matter what emotion they are showing. When you take time for them they deliver and confide in you and its the most amazing thing when your there to show them someone does care.

    Hi  Natalie welcome to the CDA class . I am new to the class as well. I just started on Monday. My name is Mary and I been teaching for about 30 years now I currently teach Pre-Kindergarten. I have always wanted to be a teacher to help kids grow and learn.

    Hey there, fellow class mates! My name is Molly and I have been a teacher at KinderCare for the last two years. Some things to know about me are that I love to travel whenever I can, I'm very involved in all things art and craft, and I'm always up for a trip to the beach. I've been working with children almost all of my life and I find them so fascinating. Looking forward to growing together and building up the future generations of the world!

    Hi y'all 👋 
    My name is Lisa Jordan, I am currently an employee at a local KinderCare in Southern California. I am enrolling in this course to further my growth and development in the childcare space, while completing schooling as a Kinesiology major to become a Physical Education teacher. I have 2 small children, both attending the KinderCare a work at, and love being able to watch them grow while working along side them.

    I am extremely excited to start this journey. 
    Life is not about a race. 
    It took me a long time to realize what i wanted to do. I finally understand working with kids makes me extremely happy and i dont find it annoying going to work. I always volunteer to to do more.

    Hello everyone! My name is Alexis and this is my first time taking a CDA course. I've always had a passion for teaching young minds and being apart of their overall growth. I enjoy knowing that I've made a positive impact on someone, it's what inspires me to teach. I am currently attending college with only two more years to go to be an Elementary teacher! I work at KinderCare Elkridge at the moment. I look forward to taking this course and learning new things to help me be a better teacher!

    Hey! My name is Skye and I'm 24 years old. I'm coming up on my second year of working with Kindercare this coming March. I'm so excited to be working on my CDA and being able to grow and expand my knowledge as a teacher! Some things about me are that I like getting comfy with a good book, going out doing some Tango or Contra Dancing and getting out into nature where I can hike and camp. I'm excited to go on this new learning journey with everyone! Good luck and its nice to meet you all!

    Hello my name is adriana sanchez, and i am currently a teacher assistant. Coming from a family of 10 and being arounds children has really encouraged my to become a better person not only for my but for the passion i have of working with children. I belive the most important part of becoming a teacher is to understand the actuall meaning of what a "teacher" is. Helping these little minds grow day by day is why i enjoy the most .
