What age group is everyone teaching or training to teach? I currently have a Pre-k Class that's set for 3-5 year old children, however all of the children enrolled are about 3 1/2. With the slow recovery from COVID closures and families staying home longer, I feel like some of the greatest challenges are children are much further behind. Having almost-4 year olds still in diapers, not washing their hands without constant reminders and some taking a long time to learn to clean up their areas as compared to being in a child-care setting from infants/toddlers or twos. I've taken some days where we learn about proper handwashing (usually on Mondays) by pretending during group time and then lining up to the sink and praising as they get their own soap and make some bubbles. Does anyone use a reward chart?
