  • 1.  Scoring Summary Sheet

    HI!   When we are totaling up cycles and calculating to provide an average score for each area, how do we process decimals?  For example, my average for PC was 5.3333333333... do I round that number, and if so, is it to the nearest tenth or whole number?  THank you!!!

    This is a great question and is usually dependent on the project-specific protocol. Pages 7-8 in the 2E Field Observation Guide has some information and a great image of examples on calculating dimension and domain scores across cycles, as well as some great

    I have the Pre-K - 3rd second edition field guide and I looked on page 7 and 8 there is no help with the math that the original poster asked about. I am looking specifically for how to do the math on the score summary sheet. It would be great to see and example of the summary pages. there is an example of the cycle observation pages but not the summary and theat is where the math part comes in.

    I am looking at the 2E PreK-3rd edition page 7 and 8. Those pages do not have examples of anything, those pages address bias. There is a great example of the CLASS cycle score sheet on Page 16 and 17 but not the Summary sheet which is where you average the scores for all the elements including environments and activity setting. Is there an example of a filled out one? I am attaching a picture of the summary sheet I am using.
